Terms of Service
Last updated: April 10, 2026
1. Acceptance
By using VibeDrift (the CLI tool, API, dashboard, or website at vibedrift.ai), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the service.
2. The Service
VibeDrift is a code analysis tool that detects architectural drift in software projects. It consists of:
- A CLI tool distributed via npm (@vibedrift/cli)
- A cloud API for AI-powered deep analysis
- A web dashboard for viewing scan history
3. Accounts
You may use VibeDrift without an account for local scans. An account (via Google OAuth or email) is required for deep scans, the dashboard, and paid features. You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
4. Free Tier
Free accounts include unlimited local scans and 3 AI-powered deep scans per calendar month. The free tier may be adjusted with 30 days' notice.
5. Paid Plans
Pro ($15/month), Scale ($30/month), and Enterprise (custom) plans are billed monthly via Stripe. You can cancel anytime from the dashboard billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — no partial refunds.
6. Your Code
We do not claim any rights to your code. Local scans never transmit your code. Deep scans send function snippets (max 60 lines each) for analysis — these are processed in memory and not stored. You retain all rights to your code.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the CLI or API
- Use the service to build a competing product
- Abuse the API with automated requests beyond your plan's rate limits
- Share account credentials or API tokens
- Submit malicious code designed to exploit the analysis pipeline
8. Availability
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uptime. The local CLI works offline regardless of API availability. We may perform maintenance with reasonable notice.
9. Limitation of Liability
VibeDrift is provided "as is" without warranty. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to incorrect scan results, missed findings, or score inaccuracies. The maximum liability is limited to the fees you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.
10. Changes
We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be communicated via email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Termination
You can delete your account anytime from the dashboard. We may terminate accounts that violate these terms. On termination, your data is permanently deleted per our privacy policy.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.
